Thank you for visiting our web site, the home of Ansona Gundogs. Established in 1986 and breeders of top winners here and on the continent, including Ansona Purdey, bitch breed record holder in Weimaraners.

We are a small kennel producing dual purpose gundogs. Our aim is to produce dogs of good conformation ... that will do well in the show ring, with natural working ability ... to enjoy in your chosen sport and most importantly of excellent temperament ... to cherish as your constant companion.

New to our shores the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer, we were very lucky to get Beth, she was from the first litter bred in this county and she has been a big influence on the breed here in the UK today.

Beth is not only one of the best working dogs we have owned but she has been an excellent brood bitch and dam to Nettle and other winners in the show ring here and on the continent.

Beth is also dam to Fen, winner of the First Slovak Field Trial award in the UK and Stud Book No; also Fuzzy the First Slovak to be awarded CDex & UDex, in Working Trials.

Our Latest addition ..... the Pointers!

A breed we have loved and admired for a long time. We discovered early on that showing and working in the same season was not going to be easy!! so due to child care duties we decided to stick to showing (well for the moment!)

Our first litter produced Lizzi, Top Puppy in Breed 2005 and gained her title in 2008, she produced her first litter in 2009 so watch out to see how her babies get on in 2010.

We have had lots of fun showing both Lizzi and her mum Breeze, they are beautiful dogs to show and great fun to live with.
